Overview

Responsible for the development and execution of the technical roadmap for the Panasonic Audio product portfolio. Responsibilities include the planning, implementation and/or definition of successful product plans, product business case development, customer / market requirement documents, customer pursuit in partnership with sales and marketing and product launches for Panasonic’s products and platforms. Responsible for measuring the effectiveness of PASA products over product lifecycles.

YOUR MISSION:

Responsible for the development and execution of the technical roadmap for the Panasonic Audio product portfolio. Responsibilities include the planning, implementation and/or definition of successful product plans, product business case development, customer / market requirement documents, customer pursuit in partnership with sales and marketing and product launches for Panasonic’s products and platforms. Responsible for measuring the effectiveness of PASA products over product lifecycles.

A DAY IN THE LIFE:

Defines and develops product roadmap for the audio domain

Works with external and internal stakeholders to perform market analysis and customer needs analysis to develop market opportunity assessments and business model proposals to aid product investment decisions and customer requirements for new and existing products

Analyzes competitive businesses and solutions relevant to current and future products and technologies

Responsible for Audio Strategic Planning Team and supports presentation for ITMT meetings. Ensures the projects deadlines are achieved and objectives are met through the ITMT direction.

Works with Engineering, Legal, Finance and other groups to manage each product release from inception to general availability, participating in design reviews, status meetings, and other engineering meetings as required

Assists Program Management and Engineering to supplement RFI / Request for Proposals (RFP’s), Request For / RFQ responses with appropriate ecosystem partners. Additionally reviews RFI / RFP / RFQ responses for commonality and trends to influence product direction and strategy

Prime liaison for required partner agreements / licensing and contracts related to the product and/or segment (supplement to purchasing)

Leads pursuit and award of new business in partnership with sales and marketing teams and works closely with Sales teams in support of customer opportunities

Communicates with internal and external customers on local and global level and Provides ongoing feedback from the sales channel and customers into the company regarding products

Responsible for tracking and execution of advanced projects related to business development priorities with OEMs

Responsible for win/loss analysis and reporting.

Responsible to maintain current knowledge and awareness of high level corporate strategies, objectives, events, policies, corporate projects, and competitive intelligence that are vital to the overall corporation which are relevant to the PAS business globally and locally.

Creates and maintains records, logs, document files, and databases for use in monitoring, tracking, and trending product/project costs, resources, schedules, and status for management. Responsible for definition of corporate Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s).

MUST-HAVES:

Bachelors in Engineering, Business, computer science, or equivalent technical degree or diploma program.MBA preferred.

Five (5) years’ experience in product management or technical marketing roles.

Automotive experience in Audio, Infotainment or adjacent and relevant products /markets.

Pragmatic marketing certification or other product management training is considered an asset.

Experience in supporting, planning and organizing multiple projects, including monitoring and reporting project status, and coordinating activities to ensure timely delivery.

Experience creating/maintaining records, logs, document files, and databases for use in monitoring, tracking, and trending program/project costs, resources, schedules, and status for management.

Overall knowledge and basic understanding of the automotive industry is desired including business practices and cost accounting.Strong program/project management skills required.

Advanced proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Windows based databases as appropriate to the assignment.
