Job Summary:
Manage all facets of region to attain sales volume goals and financial control targets as assigned within area of responsibility.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage direct headquarter relationship of retail grocery customer base within the Mid-Atlantic geography.
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to accommodate corporate goals.
- Meet with customers on an ongoing basis to sell in new items, conduct business reviews, negotiate sales & marketing programming, communicate category insights, develop sales opportunities etc.
- Conduct all duties related to broker management as appropriate
- Manage customer financial management; to include promotions and marketing programs for all customers within geography. Manage trade fund program system and budgets with brokers and direct accounts.
- Direct and maintain sales forecasting activities as well as set performance goals for brokers and direct team.
- Maintain close communication with various Hood LLC departments to effectively manage business.
- Communicate competitive market pricing, including price advances or declines for customers. Be aware of and react to competitive products and activities.
- Attend trade-related functions that enhance account relationships and HP HOOD's position in the marketplace.
Education and Experience:
- BA/BS Degree and a minimum of 6-8 years' relevant experience required.
- Experience within CPG refrigerated food/beverage sales field preferred.
Skills and Competencies:
- Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Exceptional interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional at building morale and gaining group commitments to goals and objectives.
- Excellent at working independently while also developing subordinates skills and encourages growth
