We are looking for a manufacturing oriented sales professional with industry knowledge who can tailor and deliver consumer product goods(CPG) programs and product development solutions to our customers! Position will direct and coordinate company sales, marketing, commercialization, production and shipping activities with assigned customers in new commercial areas. Advocate's Rockline's capabilities and values to manage day-to-day business while actively pursuing new business opportunities utilizing expertise in product development, industry knowledge as well relationships both internal and external.
Other Functions of this role include:
- Successfully interacts with customers to maintain an established sales book with good grasp of Rockline's manufacturing capabilities. Demonstrates solid understanding of business, financials, products, markets, and the needs/challenges of assigned and prospective new accounts as well as component-suppliers capabilities.
- Collaboratively develops (often with supervisory assistance) and executes market and sales strategies for assigned accounts.
- Manage day-to-day sales, profitability, communications and relationships for existing, medium-sized customer accounts to achieve targets.
- Demonstrates thorough knowledge of regulatory requirements (FDA, EPA, et al.) that govern the products managed with general understanding of manufacturing and global quality standards.
- Initiate the development of product costing models. Review and confirm product costing models.
- Develop and deliver pricing and pricing strategy.
- Negotiates sales terms with discretion within Rockline policy guidelines.
- Identify, develop, and deliver cost savings and continuous improvement opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records of all pricing, sales, and promotions.
- Generate and present quarterly sales reports.
- Provide orders and sales forecast to key Rockline stakeholders.
- Ensure customer service needs are met. Interacts successfully with customers to maintain and grow established sales book. Educates customers regarding Rockline's products, service and manufacturing capabilities.
- Initiate and support new product development projects, product transitions and commercialization process.
- Represent Rockline at tradeshows and conferences.
- May lead small to medium size sales team without supervisory authority.
- Supports and executes account planning and forecasting. Acts as internal liaison to support manufacturing and supply chain solutions.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree required. Must be able to demonstrate a skill set that translates to selling Contract Manufacturing Services in the manufacturing of wet wipes. Ability to communicate effectively in front of the customer will be essential. Experience developing and maintaining long-term customer relationships; ability to leverage and effectively navigate and build internal and external relationships, required. Business development experience in commercial channels including food service, government institutions, janitorial service providers, universities, schools, hospitality, and others is a plus. Knowledge of regulatory requirements (FDA, EPA, etc.) that govern products developed and an understanding of, or background in manufacturing or engineering is highly preferred.
- Sales Manager I - 3 years' experience in, sales, business development experience or technical operations/engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Sales Manager II - 4 years progressively responsible experience in sales, marketing management, or business development experience or technical operations/engineering in a manufacturing environment.
