Job Description
Position: Android Architect Location: Bellevue, WA (Hybrid) Duration: 1 year contract In this role you will:
• Drive a coherent and unified application design with a strong sense of ownership of the application's performance
• Implement the best strategy to ensure design meets performance, usability, reliability, and scalability standards
• Ensure our data collection is consistent and reliable with minimal disruptions by applying best-practice QA standards
• Participate in regular design and code reviews with development team members to confirm the use of best practices
• Coach and develop team members to increase the team's bench strength and flexibility
• Translate complex functional and technical requirements into detailed development tasks
• Write meaningful unit tests as part of the CI/CD pipeline
• ct as a technical reference and subject matter expert in all areas of the application development lifecycle
Key skills, experience, and traits required:
• 9+ years of experience with mobile application development and/or diagnostics applications
• Expertise in Android architecture components and framework (e.g., Kotlin)
• Deep understanding of design patterns, especially on dependency injection using Hilt
• Strong knowledge of Android or Linux performance tools and security models
• Strong knowledge of Android SDK, NDK, JNI and IPC mechanisms
• Experience with embedded programming on Linux and/or RTOS
• Experience working with device OEMs (e.g., Samsung, Client, etc.) is desirable
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
