THE LINDY GROUP is seeking an entry-level Cost Accountant to help support continued company growth and success! This entry-level position provides the foundation of skills needed for other challenging positions within the organization that offer more responsibilities and higher rewards, not only in Operations but other departments as well.
About The Lindy Group:

Serve as the liaison between project engineers, subcontractors, customers, and the Accounting department regarding all job cost matters.
TYPICAL DUTIES:
- Track labor, equipment, trucking and material cost based on foremans' timesheets
- Contact vendors and suppliers to get up-to-date pricing on materials ordered by field personnel
- Create weekly invoices for all work performed along with all required documentation
- Work with project engineers to ensure that all work is billed accurately and completely
- Set up new contracts with subcontractors
- Update job cost reports weekly with quantity changes
- Create subcontractor estimates for payment to subcontractors
- Review and approve invoices for payment to vendors and suppliers
- Track rental equipment on projects
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Entry level position. Four-year degree in Accounting or equivalent.
- Above average computer skills with knowledge in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
- The ability to assume responsibility and interface and communicate with others is essential.
