Job Opportunity: Director of Sustainability

Location: Boston, MA

Base Salary: $200K+


Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced leader to join our Sustainability Team). This role will support both corporate and regional sustainability strategies, focusing on reducing greenhouse gas emissions and enhancing operational efficiency in the Greater Boston market. The leadership position will work closely with senior leaders and regional teams to drive sustainability initiatives, improve ESG disclosures, and manage energy strategies.


Key Responsibilities

  • Corporate Level:
  • Develop strategies to meet 2030 GHG emissions reduction targets.
  • Enhance sustainability guidelines for construction and operational projects.
  • Lead sustainability reporting efforts, including Corporate Responsibility Reports.
  • Oversee data collection and analysis for sustainability goals.
  • Lead renewable electricity initiatives and emissions reduction strategies.
  • Collaborate with tenants and industry groups on sustainability practices.
  • Ensure compliance with local energy, water, and emissions regulations.
  • Guide real estate projects in meeting sustainability standards.
  • Manage regional power purchase agreements and track sustainability metrics.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., PE, CEM, LEED AP) preferred.
  • 10+ years in energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives for building portfolios.
  • Experience with renewable energy procurement and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
