Landscape Maintenance Field Supervisor

The Schultz & Company Landscape Maintenance Field Supervisor will work under the direction and guidance of the Maintenance Department Manager to oversee maintenance crews, communicate with customers, and ensure quality of services. The ideal person for this role loves attending to the details that set high-quality service apart.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary liaison with customers, establishing pre-visit and post-visit communication
• Ensure customers have understanding of contracts and that their expectations are met or exceeded
• Inspect maintenance jobs regularly to assess quality of service and address any areas of concern
• Train foremen and crews on standards of service, equipment use/maintenance, and safety protocols
• Train foremen and crews on any additional services, attention areas, or customer requests
• Oversee and participate in preparation of trucks and equipment for each shift
• Check customer irrigation systems to adjust settings or troubleshoot problem areas
• Assist with scheduling of crews, routes, and jobs

Qualifications

• Ability to build/maintain customer relationships and understand customer needs
• Ability to drive quality, efficiency, and safety of landscape maintenance crews
• Ability to operate landscape maintenance equipment and apply fertilizers/pesticides
• Knowledge of landscape maintenance equipment and preventative maintenance
• Horticultural knowledge and familiarity with pruning practices
• Fluency in speaking, reading, and writing English (any fluency in Spanish is a plus)
• Valid Texas drivers license with a maintained good driving record

Work Environment

• Generally an in-the-field role working in a vehicle and outdoor environments
• Requires prolonged periods of walking, driving, and being outside in central Texas weather
• Requires ability to bend, stand, lift up to 50 pounds, and operate landscape maintenance equipment
