Job Description

Reporting to the Director, Corporate Counsel, the Contracts Manager will draft, review and negotiate various agreements and provide continuing support on executed agreements.

This role is based in our Lexington, MA office. Our office-based employees follow a hybrid schedule of 4 days in the office, and 1 day remote.

Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):

  • Draft, review, negotiate and obtain signatures for various agreements for internal clients, including master services agreements, statements of work, consulting agreements, and confidentiality agreements
  • Provide continuing support on executed agreements such as drafting, negotiating and obtaining signatures for amendments, extensions, assignment letters and termination notices
  • Manage contract requests and track the status of outstanding agreements keeping internal stakeholders apprised
  • Assist with Kiniksa's contract management process
  • Work closely with internal clients, as well as Legal Department colleagues
  • Recognize when new contract templates are needed and draft accordingly
  • Help train internal clients on contract requests, review processes, and contract management tools
  • Assist with other Legal Department needs
Qualifications:
  • Requires 6+ years' experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating master service agreements, statements of work, consulting agreements, and confidentiality agreements
  • B.A. or B.S. degree required
  • Ability to analyze legal documents for accuracy and produce high quality legal and professional documents consistently and expeditiously
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good business judgment and negotiation skills
  • Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven mindset of proactive continuous improvement
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a team-oriented environment
  • Ability to work in a fast paced-environment and to handle multiple tasks
  • Strong commitment to compliance and ethical standards
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (i.e., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, etc.)
  • Hard working with a sense of ownership of the project at hand
  • Ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously under deadline pressure with efficiency and accuracy
  • Experience working with biopharmaceutical companies is a strong plus
  • Experience working with Conga / Novatus contracts management system a plus
  • Experience with material transfer agreements, sponsored research and clinical trial agreements a plus
