Tax Manager - Business + Entity

Location: Greater Chicago area

Pay: $145,000 - $175,000, plus bonus

Schedule: Can work remote or hybrid. If Remote, client prefers you are located in or near Illinois (Greater Chicago)

Our client, a top 30 CPA firm, is seeking a Tax Manager to join their team, which focuses on business + entity tax with a large portfolio of construction and real estate clients. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven professional looking for an opportunity that will lead to Partner.

What you get to do:

• Advise clients on income tax issues and related tax planning, and respond to tax inquiries.
• Oversee engagement planning, scheduling, and workflow, while supervising and coaching a team of accountants.
• Research complex tax issues and propose solutions.
• Collaborate with external tax advisors
• Communicate effectively with engagement partners to ensure quality of work and maintain strong client relationships.

What you need to succeed:

• Bachelor's degree and CPA required
• 5+ years of relevant experience in business and entity tax.
• Expertise in pass-through entities
• Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in utilizing tax-related technologies to enhance client service.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and internal teams.
