Overview
BigBear.ai is seeking a DevOps Engineer to provide DevOps and Systems Administration support. As a DevOps Engineer on the program, your role will encompass a range of responsibilities crucial to the smooth functioning of the program's IT systems. You will be tasked with performing systems administration on server systems connected to local and wide area networks, ensuring they operate efficiently and securely. This includes providing support for the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems, as well as assisting in managing the infrastructure and processes related to these systems.
This position will be based out of Annapolis Junction, MD and will report on-site daily (no remote flexibility).

BigBear.ai is seeking a DevOps Engineer to provide DevOps and Systems Administration support. As a DevOps Engineer on the program, your role will encompass a range of responsibilities crucial to the smooth functioning of the program's IT systems. You will be tasked with performing systems administration on server systems connected to local and wide area networks, ensuring they operate efficiently and securely. This includes providing support for the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems, as well as assisting in managing the infrastructure and processes related to these systems.
This position will be based out of Annapolis Junction, MD and will report on-site daily (no remote flexibility).
What you will do
- Perform systems administration tasks on servers connected to local and wide area networks, ensuring optimal efficiency and security.
- Provide support for the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems.
- Manage infrastructure and processes associated with IT systems to ensure smooth operations.
- Collaborate with the team to identify and resolve system issues, ensuring continuous system availability and reliability
- Clearance: Must possess and maintain an active TS/SCI with CI Poly clearance
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- 5+ Years of Experience
- Strong PaaS experience
- Experience configuring and managing Linux operating systems
- Experience investigating and resolving technical issues
- Active Security+ certification or other applicable certifications
- Experience in troubleshooting complex data analytics systems
- Experience with Jenkins, Git Docker, Ansible, and/or Puppet
- Familiarity with CI CD pipeline concepts
- Technical understanding of big data concepts cloud technologies such as AWS and Oracle
- Experience working in an Agile software development environment
- Experience using jira and confluence
- Experience with DevOps pipeline and optimizing code
- Knowledge of Ruby and/or Python
- Knowledge of docker or other container tools
