Site Manager required by one of the leading Northern Irish build & fit out contractors

Your new company

Hays Construction are currently representing an award-winning Northern Irish Build & Fit-Out Contractor who, due to sustained bid success, are now seeking an experienced Site Manager to join their highly successful team. With an enviable client base throughout the UK & Ireland, this firm is currently operating across various sectors including commercial, residential, education, retail & fit out and are hoping to further establish their brand throughout the UK. This growth has been generated from their proven track record in delivering high-quality service on £multi-million projects for global clients, but also due to their commitment to high quality finished work. This contractor now has a specific requirement for a Site Manager to lead the site team on projects valued over £10m.

Your new role

As Site Manager, you will be expected to have experience managing projects across a wide range of sectors that this contractor is involved in, from education, leisure, residential, industrial and many more. You will be liaising with both the contracts manager and project manager on project progress throughout. You will manage and lead the Site Construction team and the Sub-Contractors during the construction stage of each £multi-million project while also being responsible for the planning, completion and delivery of projects, with the upcoming one being a high-end hotel project commencing in December this year.

What you'll need to succeed

A successful Site Manager will ideally come from a strong construction background and have previous experience managing and leading similar large-scale, major projects, preferably from similar sectors such as residential to industrial. It will be essential to be a holder of qualifications such as a CSR card, SMSTS card, SSTS card, CSCS card, while also having a relevant qualification at an HND / HNC / BTEC level. The successful candidate will also be required to be qualified for first aid at work. Strong communication & interpersonal skills are essential to motivate the site team for the successful delivery of £multi-million projects on time, to budget and to client standards. Proven track record of monitoring subcontractors and taking high-end projects from inception through to completion.
