An award-winning prominent MEP Contractor who, due to impressive bid success and an increased secure workload, is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their major projects team. This contractor is seeing continuous growth with an enviable client base throughout the UK&I operating across various sectors including Health, Education, Industrial, Leisure and Commercial projects.
Your new role
Participate in pre-contract meetings, coordinate with various construction professionals, and ensure timely completion of agreed actions.Review and negotiate contracts with Main Contractors and Clients.Negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers on behalf of the company to secure competitive pricing and favourable terms.Manage construction contracts according to agreed terms and oversee the payment processes.Measure and value completed work accurately, ensuring adherence to contract specifications and drawings.Prepare regular cost reports and financial statements, monitor project progress, and identify any potential budget deviations.Identify and evaluate potential financial risks associated with projects and develop mitigation strategies.Maintain effective communication with clients, keeping them updated on project costs, progress, and potential changes.Collaborate with team members, including project managers, engineers, and support services, to ensure project success.
What you'll need to succeed
5 years + post-graduate experience in a QS role within the Construction IndustryHighly motivated, hard-working individual who can work on their own or as part of a teamExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office applicationsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExcellent time management and organisational skillsApplicants must have a clean driving licenceSelf-motivated, with a ‘can-do’ approach to work and willingness to learn and assistWilling to travel to the UK as required.
