Class 2 Driver

At GXO, we recognise that it’s our people who help keep the nation moving. Due to continued growth, we are looking for Class 2 Drivers to join us in Wellingborough! You will play a crucial role in delivering our freshly roasted Costa Coffee beans and delicious food items to our stores, ensuring they receive their orders on time and in top-quality condition.

You will be working on a full-time, permanent basis, on ‘5 on 3 off’ covering the night shift with start times between 16:00 and 20:00 This role is contracted to 48 hours per week, ensuring a stable and consistent workload.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Conduct thorough pre and post-shift checks of the vehicle to ensure it is in optimal working condition
• Deliver boards of chilled, frozen, and ambient products on a multi-drop basis
• Assisting in unloading stock during delivery
• Collect waste and return it to the site
• Navigate through busy city routes and handle challenging parking locations
• Keep a close eye on vehicle defects and wear and tear and report them promptly
• Ensure that all documentation is filled out accurately and submitted on time

What you need to succeed at GXO:

• A full UK driving licence with C category
• No more than 3 penalty points on your licence (no TT, IN, DD, DR, or DG endorsements
• An up-to-date CPC and Digital Tachograph
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work on your initiative
