Job Description

La Fosse are currently partnered with a customer who are looking to recruit an MS SQL DBA into their team, on an initial 6 month contract.

This role will be outside IR35, £500 per day and fully remote. The customer's office is in Central London.

You will be part of a global team of DBA's responsible for the 24x7x365 support, administration and management of the global database platforms, deployed in on-prem and cloud environments. Your role will be part of a diverse team who support the transaction processing and back-office systems within the business. The role specifically is focused on database performance tuning and working with development teams and DBA's to ensure they have the most performant and efficient databases. The role requires Database Administration skills complimented by SQL Development skills.

Key Experience Needed:

  • A highly experienced and capable MS SQL DBA with previous SQL development experience.
  • Experience supporting a complex, large-scale, high transactional volume system to very high levels of availability.
  • Someone who loves working to get to the root cause and is determined to resolve issues.
  • Experience building and supporting SQL Server Always On Availability Groups.
  • Someone who can work autonomously as well as collaboratively with a global team.
  • Hands-on experience of database schema and code release processes.
  • College degree in computer science or a related discipline, or an equivalent level of technical knowledge required.
  • Experience using SolarWinds, Netreo and Idera an advantage.
