Vacancy: Export Coordinator I (12 month FTC)
Location: Royston, UK

As the Export Coordinator I you will arrange transport in accordance with both customer and JM requirements. The role requires the production of all shipping documentation, including Export Invoices, Dangerous Goods documents, Certificates of Origin, and Letters of Credit.

Your responsibilities:
- Arrange safe and secure transport for all shipments (UK and International) with approved freight forwarders or carriers.
- Organize the collection of refining materials safely and secure from customers for delivery to the appropriate site.
- Ensure shipments are processed on time to meet customer delivery dates.
- Handle issues with carriers or freight forwarders regarding shipments, including delays, losses, or damage.
- Prepare and manage all necessary shipping documents (e.g., Commercial Invoice, Delivery Notes, Packing Lists, Certificates of Origin) for compliance and customs requirements.
- Provide advice and guidance to sales and customer service teams on the cost and risk implications of alternative shipping methods (Road, Sea, Air) INCO terms
- Check and approve freight invoices for their own shipments
- Ensure all documents for export and imports are compliant in terms of customs legislation and export control procedures.
- Maintain good relationships with sales and customer service teams and notify them of any potential delays to shipment.
- Take part in any regular reviews or carriers or freight forwarders
- Provide an exceptional customer service to internal and external customers
Requirements for the role:
- Good working knowledge of export operations including documentation requirements
- Good IT skills with microsoft office, Outlook and Teams
- Knowledge/understanding of international regulation for carriage of hazardous material
- Previous experience shipping Dangerous goods by Air, Road and Sea
- Understanding of Known Consignor, Regulated Agent
- Previous experience in an export/import environment in the post-Brexit landscape.
- Willingness to take ownership for workload and actions
- Good understanding of customs formalities and procedures
- Good working knowledge of incoterms
