Full stack Developer (JavaScript AND Python) NEW US FDI... Visual FX/CGI /Entertainment tech industry Ocho is excited to partner with an new US FDI who are looking to add a Fullstack Developer to the first key hires. About the Role: Our client is looking for a Full Stack Developer to take full ownership of their Jira and Confluence systems, focusing on creating custom tools that streamline production and engineering workflows. This role is far more than typical admin work; it requires a strong foundation in computer science to build scalable, high-performance solutions that enhance user experience and align with Agile processes. The ideal candidate will manage Jira and Confluence configurations, develop features for internal tools (including replacing existing Jira-based tools with custom-built solutions), and automate processes for operational efficiency. Additionally, they will work closely with stakeholders to implement a feedback system that gathers insights on developer performance for each Jira ticket, ensuring continuous improvement and alignment with company goals. Duties and Responsibilities: Custom Development: Design and develop tailored web solutions to replace existing Jira-based tools, enhancing workflows for production and staffing. Jira and Confluence Administration: Configure and administer Jira and Confluence for optimal project setups, efficient workflows, and ongoing maintenance. Data Management: Perform backups of Jira and Confluence data from our Cloud instance. Tool Integration: Build and maintain integrations between Jira, Confluence, and other key tools like GitHub, Perforce, and various cloud services. Feedback System: Develop and implement a custom feedback system to gather user insights post-ticket completion. Code Quality: Utilize Test Driven Development (TDD) and SOLID principles for clean, scalable, and maintainable code. Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for all internal tools and systems. Collaboration & Requirements Gathering: Work closely with teams to understand requirements, design solutions, and implement them effectively in an Agile environment. Calendar Integrations: Research and implement integrations with calendar solutions such as Google and Outlook. Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve bugs in both custom solutions and Jira/Confluence automations. Code Refactoring: Regularly review and refactor legacy code to improve maintainability and scalability. Mentorship & Collaboration: Mentor other developers and contribute to a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement. Additional Tasks: Perform other duties as needed to support team and project success. Ideal candidate: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer, with expertise in front-end and back-end development. Strong proficiency in JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and server-side languages such asPython or Node.js. Experience administering and configuring Jira and Confluence, including automation using APIs. Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience in Agile environments. Familiarity with GitHub Actions, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools. Experience with Test Driven Development (TDD) and SOLID principles. Ability to design user-friendly interfaces and effective workflows for internal tools. Strong debugging, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills. Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical teams. Experience with Jira plugin development or Atlassian API integration is a plus. Familiarity with our clients tech stack would be ideal ie: Unreal Engine, Maya, Adobe, Python, FastAPI, QT, Dear ImGui, C++, AWS.
