Salary: £33,366 to £35,235 per annum

An exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated person to undertake both Highway safety and Streetworks inspections. Ensure all adhoc and programmed inspections of the highway network both walked and driven are carried out to identity defects. Ensure that all works and inspections are undertaken within the correct timescales and standards and in accordance with the Highways Act 1980 and the New Roads and Streetworks Act 1991.
You will be working closely with other Highway officers and teams to ensure the network is kept in a safe condition. You will be required to enter detailed information into the Asset Management System to provide a robust defense against highway claims.
You will have previous experience of highway maintenance and undertaking safety inspections, with an awareness of relevant legislation and codes of practice such as the Highways Act 1980 and Well Managed Highway Infrastructure.
The role requires excellent written and oral communication skills, knowledge and expertise in highway maintenance as well as a full UK driving license.
