Role Description
Join Our Team as a Support Worker
Location:Southmoor, Abingdon, Oxfordshire
Salary:£12.00 per hour (£23,400 per annum) plus benefits: paid induction;additional £1200 per year based on 2 waking nights per month,overtime paid over 37.5 contracted hours
Hours:7.00 am 3.00 pm, 2.00 pm 10.00 pm (Monday to Sunday on a shift rota basis. Please note, the shifts may vary due to the needs of the people we support)
Contract:Full-time, Permanent
Driving Requirement:A valid full UK manual driving license is essential
Right to Work:Applicants must have the right to work in the UK. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer any skilled worker visas

If you have a manual UK driving license and are comfortable driving alternative vehicles, you're exactly who we're looking for.
What will you be doing?
As a Male Support Worker, you'll be more than just their support you'll be a key part of someone's journey towards living their best life. Here's what you'll be doing:
  • Daily Care & Support:Helping with personal care, meal preparation, medication, and other daily tasks.
  • Building Relationships:Getting to know the people you support, understanding their needs, and helping them live life on their own terms.
  • Empowering Independence:Assisting with personal goals, from daily activities to long-term aspirations, and encouraging creative exploration.
  • Social Engagement:Supporting activities like holidays, social events, and hobbies, ensuring everyone could enjoy what they love doing.
  • Respect & Dignity:Ensuring that the individuals and their families are treated with the utmost respect, dignity, and equality.
Who you will be Supporting?
Jane*has her own mobility car and loves going out for long drives. She loves listening to music, sitting on her bean bag with sensory lights on reading fairy tale books!
Jack*is one of the most loving and caring people we support. He loves going on adventures on the train, watching the airplanes at the local airport. Has a huge collection of fans that he likes to carry with him around. He has a great sense of humour and a cheeky laugh to go with it and can be very affectionate asking for head massages and scratches, he loves sensory interaction.
Joseph*loves outdoor activities like gardening, taking a picnic and a flask with lots of coffee for a long walks. Likes to ride around buses for hours and he is the life of the party!
Josh*loves spending time on his own watching old game shows. Sometimes he brings those game shows to life by playing them with his support team. His favourite is strictly come dancing- "Its nice to see you, to see you nice!" When he does decide to go out, his favourite activity is to go to the local shop to buy sausage rolls and race back with his support staff and of course he has to always win!
Joan*is the 'Miss independent' of the house! She loves working on the farm with the animals and collecting eggs of the chickens during the week and on weekends likes to spend her time going to dog shows, eco friendly shops and visiting her family!
