Salary: £55,000 to £65,000

An opportunity has opened for a Design Manager to join a manufacturing and construction company based in Manchester. The ideal candidate will have excellent experience working as a Design Engineer using AutoCAD or similar and would have previous leading or management experience.

What theyre looking for:

• Experience as a Senior Design Engineer, Design Manager or similar
• Experience in the Mechanical and Construction sectors
• Knowledge of AutoCAD or other CAD packages
• Hydraulics, pneumatics or lifts experience
• CSCS card
• Excellent managerial skills
• Experience of processes, documentation and liaising with customers

Design Manager Responsibilities:

• Managing the Design process from start to finish
• Making and advising any changes to engineering drawings
• Some AutoCAD work of your own
• Liaising with customers, suppliers and contractors
• Providing insight on process and driving continuous improvement
• Keeping documentation up to date and to the right standards
• Assisting with site surveys
