Job Description

Research Membership Manager / Client and Commercial Account Manager with experience of working across clients, project delivery teams, finance and marketing, working on client-led projects, who has excellent leadership, delegation and team development skills, is required for a well-established organisation based in South Kirkby, West Yorkshire.

SALARY: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum + Benefits

LOCATION: South Kirkby, West Yorkshire (WF9) Office Based

JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent Part-Time working will be considered (pro rata basis)

WORKING HOURS: 40 hours per week, 9:00am 17:30pm Monday to Friday

(Flexibility required based on colleague and business needs, part time hours will be considered)

JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Research Membership Manager / Client and Commercial Account Manager with experience of working across clients, project delivery teams, finance and marketing, working on client-led projects, who has excellent leadership, delegation and team development skills.

The role of Research Membership Manager / Client and Commercial Account Manageris an entrepreneurial research community development role in the creative industries with a focus in Live Experiences.

As the Research Membership Manager / Client and Commercial Account Manageryou will oversee the successful development of a thriving paid membership community of like-minded business and organisations, working together to research and develop the future of world class Live Experiences.

Research projects will include industry research and development, academic research, artistic & creative endeavours and commercial enterprise. Research themes include:

  • Live Experience Technologies sound, light, video, immersive, HCI, spatial, personalisation
  • Supply Chain & Sustainability
  • Virtual Production
  • Real-time performance capture
  • Simulation and Environment Development
  • Ethical AI

DUTIES

This is a client management and commercial management role, working across clients, project delivery teams, finance and marketing, where duties as the Research Membership Manager / Client and Commercial Account Manager will include:

  • Achieving Memberships financial and performance KPIs through management of membership and subscription enquiries, quotations, contract management and support
  • Maintaining systems and documentation
  • Attending cross-functional / cross-BU commercial, sales and planning meetings
  • Leading the tracking, reporting and performance review processes with internal and external stakeholders
  • Tracking and progressing new memberships opportunities
  • Organising and facilitating client project meetings and other workshops and activities with members
  • Facilitating the Research Centre governance including Boards and Steering Groups
  • Collaborating with Marketing to organise and run events and communications, including Quarterly R&D industry foresight and Annual Research reports

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

Essential

  • An Undergraduate Degree in a subject relevant to the role or equivalent professional experience
  • Business Development and Account/Client Management
  • Experience of working with client led projects
  • Significant experience in the delivery of dynamic projects, preferably in either a; training/education, creative industries, research or development setting
  • Experience of sales and marketing operations
  • Experience of reporting and auditing
  • Understanding of the development of collaborative communities and teams
  • Leadership, delegation and the development of autonomous teams
  • Friendly, Tenacious and Likeable
  • Results-focused
  • Commercially minded
  • High standard of leadership skills
  • Strong ability to manage, influence and motivate clients and stakeholders
  • Demonstrate skills in personal review through reflective practice

Desirable

  • Experience in working in the Creative Live Experience Industry
  • Experienced application of Research & development processes, techniques and evaluation methods
  • Experience in conceiving and managing complex initiatives in a technology and innovation environment
  • Experience of developing and participating in collaborative R&D projects with a commercial element to them
  • Experience in funding applications and bid writing
  • Background understanding of the live experience Screen and Stage industries
  • Membership and/or subscription systems and administration
  • Event management
  • Understanding of UK R&D Tax relief
