Job Description

A quick look at the role

The Senior Digital Analyst is responsible for evaluating and improving the effectiveness of Biffa's online marketing strategies. You will also map digital customer journey points to understand customer behaviour leading to sales funnel conversions, marketing attribution and optimisation of our website to realise growth opportunities and leverage digital platform efficiencies.

Your core responsibilities

  • Analyse and interpret data from digital eComm, website performance, and other online activities. Use tools like Google Analytics, Google Ads, Facebook Insights, etc., to monitor key metrics and KPIs to identify trends and insights.
  • Develop and maintain digital marketing reports and dashboards for web optimisation, evaluating business metrics on landing pages, onward journeys and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide actionable insights. Utilise GA4 to deep dive into customer journeys from our online paid and organic media across mobile and web platforms.
  • Support trading and marketing ensuring automation to minimise manual reports and standardise trending insights. Generate regular reports on eComm channel performance, and impact analysis on drivers, such as website traffic, conversion rates, customer behaviour, and other relevant metrics. Present findings to stakeholders and management teams.
  • Evaluate the performance of digital marketing campaigns (paid search, social media, email marketing, SEO, display ads), highlighting key findings and provide recommendations for improvement based on data-driven insights.
  • Use data-driven insights to optimize digital eComm end to end sales, monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), and guide marketing decisions based on performance metrics. Identification of get a quote drop out points, exploring drop out drivers and ranked importance through to order conversion analysis.
  • Design and execute A/B tests for website elements, ads, and eComm customer journey stages to evaluate the effectiveness of different digital strategies and optimise performance.

Our essential requirements

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in digital marketing analysis, online marketing, or data analytics.
  • Proficient in analytics tools like Google Analytics, Google Ads, Google Search Console and Big Query. Power BI and usage of Microsoft 360
  • Knowledge of conversion rate optimisation (CRO) and A/B testing techniques.
  • Proven experience of setting up performance measurement metrics and reporting within a changing technology.
  • In-depth understanding of search engine optimization (SEO), paid search (PPC), and social media marketing strategies.
