Who You Are
You are an experienced professional with excellent communication and computer skills, possessing either call center experience or an understanding of social care, particularly with the elderly. These skills are essential, as any candidate lacking them will not be considered. You thrive in a dynamic environment and are adaptable, eager to work night shifts only, from 23:00 PM to 07:00 AM. You possess a full manual driving license and can pass an enhanced Adults DBS check.
What the Job Involves
Your role as a Responder/Call Handler in the Carelink Team will be pivotal in providing a high-quality emergency monitoring and response service to vulnerable adults. You will work on a rotational 24/7 shift pattern, focusing exclusively on night shifts, and including weekends and bank holidays. Responsibilities include handling emergency calls with sensitivity and urgency, maintaining and installing telecare equipment, and conducting safe and well checks. You'll alternate between office-based tasks and responding to emergencies in the community. The position is based at the Gatehouse on Kedleston Road Derby, with on-site parking available, and full training is provided for the 12-week period contract.
