Responsibilities

Lead assigned staff in performing diagnostic sleep studies and polysomnographic activities.

  • Lead or coordinate shift operations of assigned activities, resources, and/or associates.
  • Perform sleep studies and polysomnographic testing and serve as a technical or functional resource.
  • Assign, monitor and review progress of work.
  • Monitor and report compliance with policies and/or procedures.
  • Oversee and evaluate orientation and training of assigned associates.
  • May provide input in the review and evaluation of staff performance.
  • Recommend use of specific equipment to enhance delivery of services.
Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • One or more of the following required:
    • Cert Polysomnographic Tech credentialed from the Board of Registered Polysomnograhic Technologists (BRPT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
    • Respiratory Therapist credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Respiratory Care obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
    • Reg Polysomnographic Tchnlgst credentialed from the Tennessee Polysomnography Professional Standards Committee obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's
    degree/Technical degree with 1 year of experience OR 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
