Job Description



Our client is a well-established and reputable law firm with a strong presence in St Albans and the surrounding areas. They are looking for an experienced Property Solicitor to join their team, with a focus on residential property matters but also some commercial property experience.



We are seeking an experienced Property Solicitor to join a team in St Albans. The successful candidate will have a strong background in residential property law, with experience in areas such as conveyancing, sales, purchases, re-mortgages, and lease extensions. Additionally, you will have some experience in commercial property matters, including property development and secured lending.



Responsibilities:




  • Handle a caseload of residential property matters, including conveyancing, sales, purchases, re-mortgages, and lease extensions

  • Advise clients on all aspects of residential property transactions

  • Prepare and review legal documents, including contracts, deeds, and title documents

  • Conduct due diligence on properties and identify potential issues

  • Liaise with clients, estate agents, and other professionals to progress transactions

  • Maintain accurate records and manage client files

  • Contribute to the development of the department's practice area and strategy

  • Work collaboratively with other teams within the firm



Requirements:




  • 5+ years of post-qualified experience as a Property Solicitor

  • Strong background in residential property law, with experience in conveyancing, sales, purchases, re-mortgages, and lease extensions

  • Some experience in commercial property matters, including property development and secured lending

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines

  • Proficient in case management systems and technology
