Job Description
W Talent are now working exclusively with CorrBoard UK Ltd, located in Scunthorpe who are looking to hire a Mechanical biased, Multi-Skilled, Maintenance Engineer to join the expanding engineering team.
This position will be working 4on 4off, days and nights playing an integral part in providing maintenance support to ensure adherence to quality standards. CorrBoard is open to candidates from various backgrounds, with a preference for those with experience in packaging, manufacturing or FMCG sectors. While they ideally seek mechanically biased, multi-skilled engineers, they are also open to candidates eager to upskill and grow within the company.
Position Overview
As the new Maintenance Engineer, you will be based at the Scunthorpe pant, where your primary responsibilities will include ensuring reliability and serviceability of all machinery and responding promptly to breakdowns to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency.
Key Duties Include
Completing all scheduled Planned Preventative Maintenance tasks and taking ownership of designated projects to improve overall performance.
Adhering to all established processes and procedures, including the management and utilization of Engineering Stores parts.
To supply maintenance engineering site cover for the manufacturing plant to ensure optimum production performance.
Identify, communicate, and carry out area's improvements in conjunction with the wider engineering team.
Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) in a timely manner, as required by the CMMS system.
Complete all the required documentation in a timely and efficient manner, including shift report and Pirana work orders.
Support Operations to ensure the equipment and facilities are always functioning correctly.
Support Production where required to ensure the daily production plan is delivered in the right quantity, at the right time and at the right quality.
Providing expert in-house advice and support on engineering matters.
Manage maintenance spares and support in controlling the maintenance budget.
Responsible for all activities involving external contractors working on the site.
Dealing with unscheduled and emergency maintenance work and breakdowns, including fault finding and necessary repair in a safe and timely manner.
Adhere to all policies and procedures and ensure that you respect them, including health and safety, the elimination of waste, and care for the environment.
Skills/Knowledge Required:
To be considered for the Maintenance Engineer role at CorrBoard UK Ltd in Scunthorpe, you should ideally have experience in a packaging, manufacturing, or FMCG environment. Additionally, you should possess a strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and demonstrate the ability to respond effectively to breakdowns.
