Job Description
We are looking for a Support Worker to provide support/care for our lovely client.
Hours - 4hrs per dayWednesdayThursdaySaturdaySunday
Tasks required by Support Worker:- Assist the client to have a bath using a bath board a few times per week (joint session will be completed with OT for handover).- Take client to local district nurse appointments / (2-3 appointments per week), and potentially other medical appointments if son not available.- Take client out in the community to purchase small items of shopping.- To increase the clients social and leisure participation by taking him out to local places e.g. to watch wildlife, for a coffee etc.-Support with setting up his painting workstation at home which is a primary interest of the client.- Working with the MDT therapists to support the client with exercises, short walks outside and other therapy activities.
The client is an elderly gentleman who was previously very independent, he had a brain injury early last year and as a result can be quite set in his ways in terms of decision making therefore a support worker/private carer with good communication and relationship building skills is very important to support the rehabilitation process.

- £16PH in the week
- £20PH at the weekend
