Job Description
We are seeking a strategic and dynamic Head of Installations to oversee all aspects of our installation programs, ensuring successful execution in alignment with client expectations and operational standards.
Role Overview: As the Head of Installations, you will be responsible for leading and managing the installation team, collaborating closely with the Capital Projects Director and the Director of the Technical Centre of Excellence. Your role is critical in ensuring that all installation projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Program Oversight: Take ownership of the commercial management of installation programs, ensuring financial performance, contractual compliance, and quality standards are met.
* Strategic Leadership: Provide effective leadership and direction to the installation team, fostering a collaborative environment that promotes high performance.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with customers, stakeholders, and internal teams to report on installation progress and performance.
* Risk Management: Develop and implement plans that align with business goals, managing risks to avoid delays and ensuring excellent customer service.
* Standards Compliance: Stay updated with industry standards and codes of practice, ensuring all installations comply with statutory and regulatory requirements.
* Performance Monitoring: Conduct regular reviews to ensure accountability of project activities and accurate financial reporting, providing management reports as needed.
* Health & Safety Management: Oversee health and safety protocols related to installations, ensuring that risk assessments and method statements are accurate and followed.
* Continuous Improvement: Utilize KPI data to enhance efficiency and drive down costs, while mentoring and developing team members to ensure high-quality service delivery.
* Audit Participation: Actively engage in NSI and HSE audits, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.

* Client Relationship Management: Client feedback, complaint resolution, SLA achievement
* Commercial Control: Budget compliance, cost management, overall budget performance

Person Specification:
Essential Qualifications:
* Proven leadership and management experience in the fire and security industry, specifically in managing fire and security projects
* Strong technical knowledge of fire, security, and ICT systems technology
* Exceptional relationship management and collaboration skills
* Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
* Experience in achieving SLAs and implementing improvement strategies
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced project environment, managing multiple priorities effectively
* Detail-oriented with strong analytical capabilities
* Experience in profit and loss reporting and workforce planning
Desirable Qualifications:
* Degree in Business Management or equivalent leadership qualification (Level 7 CMI/ILM)
* Experience in senior leadership roles
* Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems
