Salary: £33,075 - £50,471 per year (M1 - UPS3 Fringe) plus £5,000 Welcome Bonus for Qualified Teachers*
Hours: 40 hours per week

Aurora Redehall School
Aurora Redehall School is currently seeking a dedicated Primary Teacher to join our team. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning to students in Years 2 - 6, who have difficulties with communication and social interaction, typically associated with Autism.
Aurora Redehall School is linked with the Caterham Education Centre, both sharing the same Principal and Head of School. However, each site has its own Assistant Head, teachers, and teaching assistants. There is a full therapy team on-site to support both staff and students, and students may move between sites when needed.

Key Responsibilities:
You will be accountable to the school leadership team and responsible for delivering key teaching duties, including but not limited to:
- Delivering and developing the curriculum with consideration to the educational, physical, and social needs of students in a supportive learning environment
- Collaborating with staff members as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Developing and using short, medium, and long-term plans to effectively deliver the curriculum
- Setting, monitoring, and reviewing personalized learning targets for each student
- Monitoring, assessing, reviewing, and reporting on students' progress to parents, colleagues, senior staff, and relevant external bodies
- Creating structured, engaging lessons that maintain pace, motivation, and challenge
- Contributing to reviews of Statements, EHC plans, PEPs, and LAC reviews
- Keeping up-to-date with current issues in the field of autism to enhance teaching and learning practices
- Using non-confrontational approaches to meet individual student needs effectively
Skills and Qualifications:
- PGCE, QTS, or equivalent teaching qualification with evidence of in-service training
- Experience in teaching primary-aged students with the ability to teach across a range of subjects
- Experience with ASD, SEMH, and PDA profiles
- Understanding of Safeguarding and Child Protection procedures
- Experience managing a variety of behavior approaches, including challenging behaviors
