Quantity Surveyor - Social Housing

£65,000 - £70,000 + Package
About the Role:
Our Client is seeking a skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the successful delivery of new build social housing projects, providing accurate cost estimates, managing project budgets, and ensuring value for money.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare detailed cost plans and estimates for social housing projects
* Monitor project costs and identify potential cost savings
* Manage variations and claims
* Prepare and submit interim and final accounts
* Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders
* Conduct site visits to assess progress and identify potential issues
* Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards
The Ideal Quantity Surveyor -
* Relevant degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field
* Proven experience in quantity surveying within the social housing sector
* Strong knowledge of construction contracts (e.g., JCT, NEC)
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Proficiency in construction software (e.g., Excel, CostX, Asite)
