Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to work with a leading main contractor on behalf of UKPN. This role involves managing the commercial aspects of a portfolio of projects within the power sector. The position offers hybrid working from Newington House or the Bidder Street office in Newham.
About the role of Senior Quantity Surveyor:
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in the financial and contractual management of power sector projects. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work on behalf of UKPN, contributing to essential infrastructure and ensuring commercial efficiency across the portfolio.
Responsibilities for Senior Quantity Surveyor:
Oversee the commercial aspects of a portfolio of power sector projects.
Manage contract administration under the NEC form of contract.
Provide accurate cost reporting and forecasting.
Handle subcontractor management, including procurement and payments.
Negotiate and manage variations, claims, and final accounts.
Collaborate with project teams to ensure financial and contractual compliance.Requirements for Senior Quantity Surveyor:
Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor, ideally within the power sector.
Strong knowledge of NEC forms of contract.
Previous experience working on behalf of UKPN is highly desirable.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
