Family Support Worker
Job Location
Brackla, United Kingdom
Job Description
Family Support Worker
Full time - 37 hours a week.
Permanent Contract - £23,868 - £25,000 p/a DOE.
Monday to Friday 10am - 3pm (some evening work will be required).
We currently have an exciting opportunity to work as a Family Support Worker for a national childrens charity in the Bridgend area.
Your role will involve working alongside parents who have children with additional needs including autism and ADHD in the family home and in education settings.
You will offer support to children with a disability and their families, whether they are diagnosed or going through a diagnosis process. The support provided is tailored to the needs of each family by a support plan developed in partnership with the family. The service provides short term, preventative support to build families resilience and coping strategies.
There will be some requirements quarterly to work in the evening (6pm - 8pm) but this can be arranged with other staff to suit you and a flexible working policy means you can claim back hours.
To be considered for the role, you will need to have had previous experience working with children and young people. Ideally, experience working with neurodiversity and with parents.
You will also need to be a driver to be considered as due to the nature of the role, visiting different family homes and schools will require the ability to travel easily.
If you feel that you meet the above criteria and are passionate about making a difference to children and families' lives then please apply to this job or alternatively, call (phone number removed) and speak to Sheonagh for more information
