Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Clinical and Practice Development Team at HC-One to introduce the role of Clinical Practice Educator (CPE).
As a CPE you will be responsible for developing resources and providing clinical education and skills training to Registered Nurses and Health Care colleagues. Our goal is to support our colleagues to be confident and competent to deliver best practice evidenced based care and clinical excellence to the residents we support.
Your responsibilities will include:
Developing and delivering educational resources for RNs, RNAs, and NAs to meet clinical needs.
Supporting clinical skills training and competency assessments.
Facilitating development programs for nursing assistants and induction programs for RNs/RNAs.
Promoting and delivering Preceptorship programs.
Supporting clinical mentors and preparing nurses for OSCEs.
Building links with Higher Education Institutes for placements.
Participating in social care research and communities of practice.
Conducting training needs analysis and support workforce development.
Reviewing and updating competency policies and training programs.
Providing clinical supervision and acting as a resource for restorative practice plans.
Promoting safeguarding practices and ensure proper escalation of concerns.
Maintaining professional standards and collaborating with NHS Practice Education teams.
Promoting equality and diversity in education.
Sharing new initiatives and career development opportunities.
Evaluating clinical learning programs and maintaining training records.
This is a regional role with travel acrosss the Midlands, a driving license is essential.

A Registered Nurse with an active PIN and a minimum of 3 years post registration experience, you are educated to degree level or have equivalent experience in a Health & Social Care environment or be able to demonstrate significant experience and understanding of the Health & Social Care Sector.
You have experience in building and delivering evidence-based programmes to a high standard and in educating and training others in 1:1, group and classroom settings.
You have a strong passion for developing others and identifying development needs through themes and trend analysis and are able to work alone or as part of a team with the goal of sustaining a confident and competent care and clinical workforce.
Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility and therefore it is important that you are able to recognise the signs which may indicate possible abuse, harm or neglect in its different forms and know what to do if there are any concerns. All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training appropriate to their role and to undertake additional training in associated areas. You also have the ability to seek appropriate advice and report concerns, including escalation if action is not taken.
