Project Manager - Construction

Job Description
This role is responsible for procuring, implementing, and closing out architectural finishes packages on construction projects, ensuring quality, safety, and adherence to timelines. You must have experience managing finishes such as dry lining, high-quality stone and block work, and timber finishes. This is an amazing opportunity to work directly for one of London's Property Developers, who specialises in both commercial and residential properties.
Key Responsibilities
Tender and Contract Management:
* Develop scope documents and tender packages in collaboration with design teams.
* Pre-qualify and select tenderers, manage the tender process, and lead commercial negotiations.
* Prepare, issue, and archive contract documents upon award.
Contractor Coordination:
* Conduct kick-off meetings with contractors and align on project requirements, site logistics, health and safety, and quality control.
* Ensure contractors submissions are reviewed promptly and that they meet project standards.
Project Oversight and Quality Assurance:
* Lead regular site inspections, oversee progress meetings, and conduct factory inspections as needed.
* Track and resolve defects, maintain documentation, and ensure adherence to H&S standards.
Documentation and Handover:
* Verify that all necessary records, certificates, and O&M manuals are complete and accurate.
* Support the Cost Manager in evaluating costs and managing design changes.
Final Reporting
* Prepare a comprehensive final report on the package, including lessons learned.
Requirements
* Qualifications: Relevant degree or HNC/ONC in Building Studies is preferred.
* Experience: Strong background in high-quality finishes, including dry lining, stone, timber, and toilet fit-outs.
* Proven track record with fast-track projects and quality finishes.
* Excellent communication and attention to detail.
* Strong H&S knowledge, particularly in high-rise construction.
* Technical Proficiency: Familiar with document management systems
* This role requires a motivated, detail-oriented individual capable of working effectively with contractors, consultants, and the project team to ensure exceptional project outcomes.
