Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Folkestone
Salary: £83 - £89 per day (depending on experience)
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Full-Time
Start Date: Immediate
GSL Education are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in Folkestone. This full-time role offers the opportunity to support students with special educational needs in a dynamic and inclusive environment. Please note that applicants must drive and have their own car for this role.
About the Role:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students, providing the tailored support they need to thrive academically and socially. Your role will involve assisting with classroom activities, adapting resources, and ensuring a positive learning experience for every child.
Responsibilities:
Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with special educational needs.
Assist in the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs).
Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
Collaborate with teachers and SEN staff to deliver effective interventions.
Monitor and report on students' progress and development.
Requirements:
Experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant or in a similar support role.
A genuine commitment to supporting children with special educational needs.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to stay calm and patient in challenging situations.
A valid driver’s licence and access to your own car is essential.
