Job Description
Principal People are delighted to be recruiting for a Health and Safety Advisor to join a market-leading Utilities and Civil Engineering organisation, who have a varied and diverse portfolio of projects.
The client we are working with can provide an excellent level of training and development to a self-motivated candidate with a desire to progress.
The successful Health and Safety Advisor will report in to the Health & Safety Manager and will be well supported by an experienced and established team.
This position represents an exciting opportunity for anyone looking to progress into the Utilities and Civil Engineering industry. Alternatively, if you have experience within this sector, this is an excellent opportunity to join a growing and award-winning business.
This hybrid position will be travelling to sites predominantly within South London 3 days a week and also local offices approximately 1 day per week and have the opportunity to work from home 1 day per week. The role provides flexibility and autonomy to manage your own diary and movements.
The role will be operational and will offer you healthy challenges as you progress in your Health and Safety Career.
The key responsibilities of the Health and Safety Advisor:
Drive a positive Health and Safety culture throughout the wider business.
Provide Health and Safety guidance across multiple sites.
Conduct Health and Safety audits and inspections.
Support the Health and Safety Manager.
Drive a positive Health and Safety culture throughout the wider business.
Undertake incident investigations and implement preventative measures to avoid similar incidents repeating. The Successful Health and Safety Advisor will hold:
NEBOSH General or NEBOSH Construction certificate or equivalent.
Experience within Utilities, Civil Engineering, Construction or similar. Remuneration and Benefits:
A basic salary of £45,000 - £50,000
Company car (Hybrid and Electric options) or Car allowance
25 days plus Bank holiday.
Matched Pension Scheme.
