About the Role:
As a Project Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in managing bespoke engineering projects from concept to completion. Reporting to the Projects Department Manager, you’ll be responsible for overseeing project strategy, planning, and execution. You’ll work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
While this is an office-based role, occasional travel within the UK and internationally will be required.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage bespoke engineering projects, ensuring successful execution at every stage.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams (mechanical, electrical) to meet project objectives.
* Ensure all projects comply with technical and commercial requirements.
* Monitor project progress, manage risks, and ensure timely delivery.
What We're Looking For:
To be successful in this role, you’ll need the following qualifications and experience:
* Essential:
* HNC Level 4 or above in an Engineering discipline.
* Prince 2, APMP, or other recognised Project Management qualification.
* Hands-on experience working with multidisciplinary design teams (mechanical, electrical).
* Experience managing large-scale projects in the Oil & Gas, Power, or similar sectors.
* Strong technical understanding of fabrication, manufacturing processes, and workshop machinery.
* Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and manufacturing documentation.
* Desirable:
* Degree-level Engineering qualification.
* Fluency in a second language.
