Job Description
We are seeking Fabrication & Welding Estimator/Salesman for a permanent position based in Wimborne.
A Hybrid working pattern is available if desired by the successful candidate. Including the option of a 3 day work week or part time work schedule.
This position offers great variety in a fabrication & welding environment and presents exciting future career development potential as the company evolves and grows.
The ideal candidate will come from a Fabrication and Welding background or be an ex fabricator welder.
Package: <£45,000
Schedule: Monday to Friday or Part time
Alternatively, we are offering a £250 referral bonus if you recommend a suitable candidate for this position who ends up securing the position and passing their 3-month probation.
Job Description
We are looking for an experienced sales/estimator hybrid to join our friendly team. You will
be responsible, motivated, a ‘team player’ with good commercial and communication skills,
to join our growing business based in Wimborne in Dorset. The successful candidate will develop a mutually agreed sales figure, estimate and convert various sized projects such as, staircases, balconies, handrails and balustrade systems.
The duties will include:
Establishing new sales leads and converting.
Tendering for and securing projects with the ability to prepare quotations/estimates to
deadlines
Taking accurate dimensions from drawings or site and convert into accurate estimates
Site visits as and when required
Liaising with clients and suppliers.
The following skills are essential:
Excellent sales development
Good IT knowledge/computer literacy (Outlook, Word, Excel)
CAD literate, able to produce accurate BoM’s from supplied drawings
Detailed understanding of technical drawings both computer aided and free-hand
Confident communicator with good knowledge and experience of architectural steelwork
and glass
Ability to do basic designs etc on CAD would be an advantage
Highly organised and able to multitask and prioritise workloads on own initiative
Assist current management team to develop better systems within the company
Experience:
You may be a time served fabricator, or come from a commercial background with good
understanding of welding and construction, experience of developing new sales and
estimating are essential
