The National Trust
Senior Project Co-ordinator - Bristol
Job Location
Job Description
Summary
We have an opportunity to recruit a part-time (up to 4 days per week) Senior Project Coordinator to support our regional and property teams to deliver the National Trust’s ambitions for Land and Nature.
What it's like to work here
You’ll be part of the Trust’s internal consultancy: a flexible resource of specialist skills and expertise. As one of a multidisciplinary team of experts, including curators, fundraisers, building surveyors and project managers, you’ll be working with others to help make things happen.
Your contractual place of work will be the National Trust office at Leigh Court Business Centre, Bristol. Our hybrid working policy means you can balance office and home working with site visits and meetings at other National Trust places. We’ll talk about this in more detail at interview, but you should expect to be at a National Trust site for 40–60% of your working week.What you'll be doing
The National Trust is focused on restoring nature and tackling climate change. These are strategic priorities for the organisation which cuts across our conservation disciplines. Based in the Land and Nature consultancy team, you will play a key role in delivering our commitments by supporting property specific projects and strategic regional priorities.
You will work closely with the Sherborne Big Nature, Better Access Project Manager and the Cotswolds property team to coordinate project team and board meetings, arranging them, preparing minutes and supporting the procurement of goods and services for the projects. This is a large and exciting Cotswolds estate where we are delivering our Land and Nature ambitions at scale. This includes nature recovery, woodland creation, low carbon land management, and increasing visitor access so people can enjoy and benefit from a nature-rich landscape.
You will support both the delivery of existing projects and the development of new ones.
A key part of this role will be collaborative and flexible working across several workstreams at any one time. The ability to build relationships, share knowledge, co-ordinate stakeholders, identify efficiencies where similar tasks are being delivered in multiple places and excellent organizational skills will be important. You will also develop and handle new project management processes as well as collect and analyse information to support projects and strategic initiatives.
Who we're looking for
We'd love to hear from you if you have;
• Excellent knowledge and practical experience of project management processes, administration and systems. • Good people and stakeholder management skills with ability to build and maintain strong working relationships. • Proven experience of budgeting and able to collate, maintain, analyse, and prepare data for reporting purposes. • Experience of conducting research / pulling together evidence and analysing to support decisions. • Strong and sensitive written and verbal communication skills. • Confident with diary management and organising practicalities for face-to-face meetings.
