Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Senior Bridge Inspector to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting, assessing, and reporting on the condition of bridges and highway structures to ensure public safety and compliance with industry standards. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining and improving vital infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
·Perform routine and detailed inspections of bridges and other highway structures.
·Accurately identify and record defects, deterioration, and other potential safety risks.
·Ensure that inspections are carried out in accordance with national standards and codes of practice.
·Use advanced inspection technologies, including drones and platforms like MEWP (Mobile Elevating Work Platforms).
·Prepare detailed inspection reports, including recommendations for repair or maintenance.
·Collaborate with engineers and other teams to assess structural integrity and suggest maintenance strategies.
About You:
·A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent experience).
·Knowledge of bridge and highway structure inspection techniques, standards, and reporting systems.
·Strong understanding of structural behavior and construction materials.
·Full UK driving license (county-wide or site travel may be required).
·Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent attention to detail.
·Experience with bridge inspection software and technologies is a plus.
