Project Planner
Location: North Yorkshire based - Happy for candidates to be remote with travel to the office and site as required.

My client is a leading high voltage engineering company, providing end-to-end solutions in power transmission and distribution. With vast industry expertise, they deliver innovative solutions for renewable energy projects, energy storage, and grid connections, driving the future of sustainable energy. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Project Planner to join our dynamic team and help us deliver successful projects on time and within scope.

The Role:

As a Project Planner, you will play a critical role in supporting the successful delivery of our projects by developing and maintaining detailed project schedules. Working closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders, you will ensure that all projects are planned effectively, risks are identified, and timelines are met.

Key Responsibilities:

* Develop and maintain detailed project plans and schedules using industry-standard planning tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).

* Collaborate with project managers and engineers to monitor progress, identify potential delays, and ensure alignment with project objectives.

* Coordinate with multiple stakeholders to gather information on project tasks, resource availability, and milestones.

* Analyze project data to report on project progress, identifying critical paths and potential risks.

* Provide regular schedule updates, forecasts, and reports to senior management and clients.

* Assist in the preparation of project status reports, and contribute to planning meetings and project reviews.

* Ensure that all project schedules comply with industry standards, company procedures, and contractual obligations.

* Participate in risk assessment workshops, contributing to the development of mitigation plans.

* Continuously review and improve project planning processes to optimize efficiency.

Key Requirements:

* Proven experience as a Project Planner in the power systems or related engineering sectors.

* Proficiency in project planning tools such as MS Project, Primavera, or similar.

* Strong understanding of project management methodologies, particularly in engineering and construction projects.

* Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.

* Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and present information clearly to stakeholders.

* Ability to manage multiple projects and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

* Experience in the power industry, renewable energy, or HV infrastructure is highly desirable.

* Relevant qualifications in engineering, project management, or a related field (APM, PRINCE2, or equivalent certifications are a plus).
