Business Development Manager (Capital Equipment)

£40,000 - £42,000 + Car + Commission

South England

Winner recruitment are working with a Global business who are looking for a commercially driven Business Development Management for their London and South east patch. This role with be working within Industrial cleaning sales and focus on new lead generation with a focus on winning new accounts.

Our client is looking for a candidate who is result orientated and is return are offering a competitive package with healthy commission structure designed to reward consistency.

Your role and responsibilities

  • As a Business Development Manager you will be responsible for growing revenue and margin within the Industrial accounts team within the UK
  • Ensuring annual structured sales plans are delivered through adopting the company's identified methodology, including sales Target Assurance Planning and Total Solutions Approach
  • Maintain and continually develop the business relationship with existing Industrial customers to achieve agreed contractual commitments
  • Develop targets meeting the needs of the customer and achieving individual targets and striving for long-term growth and continuation of the contract
  • Ongoing management of a portfolio of existing, and identifying and developing new Industrial customers, to maintain business and create new opportunities to deliver significant organic growth in line with the needs of the customer, through structured visits to the Customer's sites, the provision of relevant reports
  • Build strong and loyal customer relationships through thorough understanding of the customer's business and current/future needs, professional contract negotiations and management, maximising all profit opportunities within agreed resource levels and financial budgets.
  • Negotiate and formalise the Service Level Agreements with customers.
  • Ensure effective handover into Service implementation and delivery, and support the execution of the agreed implementation plans in conjunction with the planned resource. In partnership with the Commercial Services
  • Ensure full and accurate utilisation of all available sales tools and to comply with required reporting policies and procedures at all times, including the updating and maintaining of the Company's CRM system.
  • Maintain industry knowledge through awareness of developments and events, including competitors, legislation and trading practices which may impact on the future business opportunities, as well as maintaining a comprehensive and up-to-date knowledge of Tennant products and services.
  • Live and maintain the Company's values and competencies at all times, remembering you are an ambassador to the company – therefore operating at the highest professional and ethical standards at all times.

What will you need for the role ?

  • Previous experience within a similar role is essential ideally within capital hire equipment, cleaning or Industrial
  • You will be commercially strong with a focus on generating new sales and a Hunter mentality
  • You will be professional and experienced within sales and have the ability to demonstrate both maintaining of ongoing revenue
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels and confident with presenting in front of board room level
  • Full UK driver's license
