GSL Education are seeking an experienced Science Teacher/Instructor to join a reputable school in Witham. This role offers an exciting opportunity to engage students in the fascinating world of science, fostering their curiosity and understanding of the natural and physical world.
Job Title: Science Teacher/Instructor
Location: Witham
Salary: £130-£260 per day (Depending on experience)
Start date: Immediate
Contract type: Day-to-Day/Long-Term, Full-time/Part-time
As a Science Teacher/Instructor, you will be responsible for designing and delivering engaging lessons that foster students' understanding of scientific concepts and inquiry skills across various disciplines, including biology, chemistry and physics. You will assess student progress, encourage critical thinking and create a stimulating learning environment that inspires curiosity and a passion for science.
Responsibilities of the Science Teacher/Instructor:
Deliver engaging and effective Science lessons to students of various ages and abilities.
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation.
Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback to help them improve.
Collaborate with other staff members to support students’ learning and development.
Adapt teaching methods and resources to meet the needs of all learners.
Requirements of the Science Teacher:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Demonstrable experience in teaching science at the secondary level.
Profoundly knowledgeable in Science (Biology, Chemistry and Physics).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively.
Commitment to promoting safeguarding and the welfare of children.
Have an updated CV (with two relevant references from the last two years and covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
