JOB TITLE: Housing Damp & Disrepair Surveyor
LOCATION: St Austell, Cornwall
SALARY: £35,926 per annum

The Employer:
We are recruiting 1 individual for the position of Property Condition & Disrepair Surveyor, within a housing environment.
The client is a non - profit, charitable registered provider of social and affordable housing throughout Cornwall.

The Role:
v Will include assisting with the programming of works and be able to allocate resources to conflicting priorities to maintain a high level of performance across the organisation
v Working under the guidance of the Senior Property Services Manager, who will work with candidate in coordinating the service
v Undertaking surveys where there is or has been a complaint of damp and mould or disrepair
v Making recommendations for appropriate remedial works
v Be the first point of contact where problems and issues arise and take responsibility to resolve them with operational staff
v Assist with introducing, monitoring and maintaining KPI's that reflect Tenants needs
The Candidate:
v Experience of supporting an organisation within a role of total prevention and care of damp and mould and disrepair in properties.
v You will have experience of carrying out building surveys in tenants homes and have the knowledge and experience to identify remediating causes of damp and mould within properties
v You will have experience of coordinating internal and external contractors to ensure works are carried out and have an understanding of current disrepair legislation.
v You will need to be educated to A Level Grade A-C or equivalent Level 3 qualification and you must have a HNC in Building Construction or equivalent
v A Diploma in surveying practice and a qualification in domestic energy assessor is desirable and not essential
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
v Educated to A Level Grade A-C or equivalent Level 3 qualification and you must have a HNC in Building Construction or equivalent
v A Diploma in surveying practice and a qualification in domestic energy assessor is desirable and not essential
v 37 HOUR WEEK
Due to nature of the role, it does require the successful candidate to already hold or be happy to take part in a Basic DBS check
