Behaviour Teaching Assistant
Are you passionate about supporting children’s development and helping them succeed? We are looking for a dedicated Behaviour Teaching Assistant to join our team at a vibrant all-boys primary and secondary school. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young learners who need guidance in managing their behaviour and thriving in a structured environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one or small group support to students with behavioural challenges.
- Support the emotional, social, and educational development of students.
- Promote positive behaviour and ensure a safe, respectful learning environment.
- Develop trusting relationships with students, encouraging self-confidence and responsibility
- Collaborate with the SENCO, teachers, and pastoral staff to track progress and adapt support plans.
Requirements:
- A genuine passion for supporting children with additional behavioural needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience working with children (previous experience in a school setting is desirable)
- Ability to work as part of a collaborative team
- Knowledge of behaviour management strategies and techniques
- A positive, patient, and resilient approach to challenging situations
