Head of Data & Analytics - Lead Strategic Data Transformation in Financial Services
Our client, a leading financial services firm, is seeking an experienced Head of Data & Analytics to drive a transformative approach to data and analytics. This role is key in delivering operational agility and supporting an ambitious growth strategy for their Division. If you're a seasoned data professional with a vision for optimizing data as a powerful business asset, this opportunity could be an excellent fit.
Role Highlights:
Competitive day rate for a 6-month contract, paid via umbrella, with a strong likelihood of extension or potential for permanency.
London-based, hybrid model: Work from the office 2-3 days per week.
High-impact role: Define and execute a data strategy that aligns with the organization's strategic objectives.
Role Overview:
As the primary data and analytics leader within the Division, you will be responsible for designing and implementing a data strategy that drives value, operational effectiveness, and strategic alignment. Leading a small team (currently with one direct report, growing to a team of 4-5), you will deliver quality data insights that empower informed decision-making and enhance business performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Drive Data Strategy - Own and implement the Division's data strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals and risk considerations.
Data Quality & Governance - Oversee data collection, management, and storage processes to ensure reliable and timely access to critical information.
Stakeholder Engagement - Act as a senior advisor to business leaders, aligning data initiatives with top priorities and embedding data strategy into ongoing projects.
Operational Agility - Introduce tools such as balanced scorecards, KPI mapping, and other performance management techniques to maximize data's role in driving agile decision-making.
What We're Looking For:
Strategic Data Leader - Proven track record of transforming data into a strategic business asset with measurable impact.
Extensive Experience - Minimum 10 years in Data & Analytics within complex organizations, ideally in asset management, financial services, or similar.
Influential Communicator - Skilled in engaging and influencing senior leaders, including C-suite stakeholders, to advance data-driven decision-making.
Operational Innovator - Comfortable with modernizing processes, digitization, and implementing straight-through processing for enhanced efficiency.
Technical Expertise - Knowledge of data governance, data lifecycle management, data integration, and experience with leading Data & Analytics platforms.
