Job Title: Post 16 Teaching Assistant
Location: Hexham
Salary: £87 - £108 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Daily Supply, Long Term

GSL Education are looking for a passionate Post 16 Teaching Assistant to join a dynamic and thriving school in Hexham.
As a Post 16 Teaching Assistant, you will be a vital part of students' journeys, helping them excel in their coursework while fostering their personal growth. Working alongside teachers, you will ensure each student feels valued, supported, and empowered to succeed.
Responsibilities of the Post 16 Teaching Assistant:
Provide academic support to students aged 16+ in both one-on-one and small group settings.
Assist in maintaining a positive, engaging, and structured learning environment.
Monitor student progress and report key observations to teachers.
Support behaviour management strategies, promoting positive attitudes and engagement.
Prepare and organise resources and materials for lessons.
Encourage students to develop essential life skills and independence.
Requirements of the Post 16 Teaching Assistant:
Experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role.
Knowledge of working with Post 16 learners.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, empathy, and a passion for education.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
