Job Description
Maintenance Fitter - JOB DESCRIPTION
To work on site at Bristol railway depot on the exterior and interior of trains. This is a contractor role.
Maintenance Fitter - SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
* Experience of working with tools.
* Practical skills/experience working with electric hand tools.
* Basic general mechanical skills.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
* Driving Licence
* Drug & Alcohol Screening Test. This can be arranged for the suitable candidate.
* Medical Report. This can be arranged for the suitable candidate.
* PPE, including full Hi-Vis suit, Boots, Bump Cap, Mask, Gloves. This can be provided for the suitable candidate.
Maintenance Fitter - DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* To work externally on trains removing damaged front valances from the trains and fitting on new ones.
* To work on the interior of trains removing damaged seats and fitting on newly repaired ones.
* Undertake professional training as deemed appropriate by the company.
* To be able to organise one’s own workload and work towards deadlines.
* To maintain ones own PPE and ensure that they present themselves appropriately for all shifts.
* To report back to company’s Managing Director/Managing Consultant as instructed.
* Report any observed non-conformances/contravention of company policies
Maintenance Fitter - HOURS AND SALARY
Minimum three evening shifts a week to begin on £120 a shift
SUPERVISION & TRAINING
This role will be supervised by the Managing Director and the Managing Consultant. The candidate will be reporting directly to either/both of these persons.
The candidate will have access to a copy of the Company’s policy documents and Procedure Manual, including Health & Safety and the complaints procedure.
PROBATION
The initial probation period for this post is 3 months
