Job Description
A great opportunity to work with fantastic team & a company that will invest in you! My client, a successful, forward thinking design & engineering business based in the Peterborough area is looking to recruit an experienced Workshop & Onsite Engineer (also happy to consider a candidate with some mechanical/electrical experience that they can mould) to work as part of their established team.
Working within a clean environment primarily, the duties will include the assembly, modification, refurbishment and testing of new and used equipment to ensure that you are comfortable with the business. After a few weeks you will attend service support visits to customers across the UK (you will be accompanied by an experienced Engineer for the first 3 – 6 months). Site work includes new equipment installation, commissioning, servicing, preventative maintenance or repair work.
This position will suit a meticulous and conscientious Engineer that can demonstrate diagnostic skills and good technical knowledge.

During new equipment installations and some annual servicing contracts, overnight stays from one to several nights are likely, however, weekend work not required. You will not be out of pocket as all expenses are paid up front by the business.
Responsibilities:
* Assembly of Capital Equipment, with precision engineering and attention to detail.
* Service, maintenance, modification, refurbishment and testing with competence and efficiency.
* Maintain spares and project parts stock levels.
* Liaise with management and relevant office staff daily as directed to prepare and review work plans.
* Communicate with the customers professionally, taking care to maintain high level of customer service.
* Ensure all Health and Safety standards are adhered to.
Skills and Experience:
* Experience in a relevant engineering discipline - mechanical/electrical, preferably time-served.
* Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and specifications.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a Team of Engineers, Designers and Subcontractors.
* Good communication skills.

* Full clean driving license required (use of company vehicle for site attendance)
* Hours of work: Monday-Thursday 8.30am - 5pm Friday 8.30am - 2.30pm
