Job Description
A Leading Energy and Infrastructure Consultancy requires an experienced Environmental Consultant/Manager with site experience to join a small, dynamic Environmental and Sustainability Team for a Global Infrastructure Business.
The position is home based with trips to work within the Clients’ Management Team and on site when required/necessary. Travel and subsistence are part of the package. There are a number of site-based roles also.

In this role, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Environmental Lead to ensure full environmental compliance on a legacy brownfield site, which will be redeveloped into a leading Global power generation facility; overseeing and ensuring that all site characterisation and other activities comply with environmental regulations, standards, and best practices.
You will be conducting regular site inspections to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards.
Identify and document any potential environmental hazards or breaches of compliance.
Review Contractor work plans to ensure compliance with environmental laws, regulations, standards and best practices.
Ensure all site activities comply with local and National environmental laws and regulations.
Prepare detailed reports on environmental performance and incidents, and communicate findings to the Site Manager and Environmental Technical Lead.
Assist in the preparation of environmental compliance documentation.
Provide guidance and advice to the site team(s) on environmental best practices and sustainability measures.
Recommend and implement corrective actions to mitigate environmental impacts.
Maintain accurate records of all environmental inspections, monitoring activities, and compliance reports.
Ensure all environmental documentation is up to date and readily accessible.
Conduct training sessions for site personnel on environmental awareness and compliance.
Promote a culture of environmental responsibility among all site workers.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related.
Experience in an environmental role within the construction industry.
In-depth knowledge of environmental regulations and standards.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent relationship building and in person communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in using environmental monitoring equipment and software.
Valid driver’s licence and the ability to travel to various sites as needed
