Job Title: Construction Delivery Manager (Civils)
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: Ongoing
Working Hours: Nights
Rate: £500 (umbrella) + £1000 per month shift allowance
We are currently seeking a highly skilled Construction Delivery Manager with a strong Civils background to join our team and support the delivery of a critical section of work within a major construction project. Reporting to the Senior Construction Delivery Manager, this role will focus on logistics, planning, compliance, and collaboration with contractors and site teams to ensure seamless project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
Support Contractors: Oversee and assist contractors in delivering work packages on time and to specification.
Proactive Safety and Quality Management: Address any safety or quality concerns promptly to maintain a safe working environment and high-quality standards.
On-Site Monitoring: Regularly monitor progress on-site, maintaining comprehensive records and detailed reports to track work progress and resolve any issues swiftly.
Effective Communication: Act as the main liaison between the site teams, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and effective problem-solving.
Stakeholder Meetings: Attend and actively participate in meetings with contractors and report back on key outcomes, actions, and next steps.
Safety Inspections: Conduct regular safety inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices across the site.
Key Requirements:
Experience: Proven track record in managing large-scale construction projects (preferably £15 million+).
CDM Regulations: Strong working knowledge of CDM (Construction Design and Management) Regulations and health and safety standards.
Qualifications: Relevant Civil Engineering qualifications, with an SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) or IOSH (Institute of Occupational Safety and Health) certification.
Skills: Excellent communication, organisational, and reporting skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver quality results under pressure.
Work Ethic: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, maintaining a focus on safety, quality, and project delivery.
